Today’s column for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review opens up to questions on Twitter. Here’s an excerpt:

There is nothing bad about The Rock appearing at WrestleMania. His appearances always have an impact live and after the fact due to the media attention. In this situation, his appearance is advertised so it can generate hype leading up.
The Rock wrestling is certainly possible, but at the moment I don’t think it’s the leading option.
He got injured the last time he wrestled at WrestleMania 29. After his last battle with John Cena, abdominal injuries caused him to miss some schedule public relations appearances related to the movie release he was promoting at the time. No movie studio can be happy with this after investing the millions into Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He hasn’t wrestled since, and I don’t think that’s a coincidence.
WWE and The Rock are promoting him to appear at WrestleMania — key word being “appear.”
If he’s used in a segment like he was the past two years, then that’s OK. Magical moments of him, Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan opening WrestleMania 30. Magical moments of him and Ronda Rousey knocking out Stephanie McMahon and Triple H last year at WrestleMania 31. More moments could be created this year.
But let’s say he does wrestle. My guess three months away would be a match with The Undertaker. It’s something fresh for The Undertaker at this stage of his legendary career. It would hold amazing marquee value in Undertaker’s home state in the attempt to sell out Cowboys stadium in Dallas. Finally, a match with those two phenomenal personalities doesn’t require the most physicality compared to other matchups.
Remember, The Rock and Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 18 did very little beyond standing in the ring looking at each other for the first five minutes. It was such a sight to see and a moment for wrestling history.
The same could be done for The Rock versus The Undertaker.
