F4WOnline.com mentioned several reports of cable provider Comcast / Xfinity moving POP TV from their Digital Starter tier cable package to a Digital Preferred package.

The following statement was issued by Xfinity, confirming the move will take place this month:

In December 2015 and January 2016 we will be making changes to our channel lineup in select areas. CMT, Spike TV and POP will be moving to different tiers of service and in some areas RLTV will no longer be carried. We are making these changes to manage overall programming costs and better align our more popular packages with the most viewed programs. These changes do not affect all areas, so please refer to the grid below to see if your area will have a tier change for one of these networks.

We know you may have questions about these changes. This website provides information and a FAQ section with answers to common questions to help through this transition. If you don’t find your answers here, please call us at 855-827-7019 to talk with someone who can help you.

If you don’t know your current video tier, please log into to My Account and your video tier will be located on the “My Services” tab under “Overview.”

The Sports Entertainment Pack is available as an added subscription tier to Digital Starter/Digital Preferred packages and is included in most Digital Premier packages.

It also notes CMT, Spike and RLTV will be moved, but not all customers will see an issue with the upgrade; click here to find out if your area will be affected by the change.
