Chris Jericho
After tonight’s events on RAW, WWE is promoting a segment for this week on Smackdown that will see Chris Jericho explain his actions after attacking AJ Styles.
As noted, the conclusion of the WWE Tag Team title match tonight saw Big E countering an attack by Jericho with a Big Ending to retain the title for The New Day. Then, Jericho turned on AJ Styles, hitting him with three Codebreakers before he stuffed a “Y2AJ” shirt in AJ’s mouth and called him a ‘son of a bitch.’
Renee Young caught up with Jericho backstage and asked for a comment, and Jericho gave a brief explanation, saying Chicago is where Y2J was born. He says all the crowd was chanting instead was ‘AJ Styles’, but he’ll make sure they aren’t chanting anymore.
