Jurors awarded Hulk Hogan another $25 million in punitive damages due to Gawker releasing his sex tape.
Hogan is owed $15 million by Gawker, Gawker founder Nick Denton is liable for another $10 million, and former editor AJ Daulerio is responsible for another $100,000. The jury, the same group who awarded Hogan with $115 million in damages last week, deliberated for four hours before announcing their decision. They ignored a plea for mercy, but Gawker President Heather Dietrick said she was confident Gawker would win an appeal due to evidence that was not presented to the jurors.
