Lucha Underground Star Says He ‘Choked Out’ Ryback, Were There Plans In Place For Sting vs Taker At Wrestlemania?

Sting

During a recent interview with WWE.com, Sting mentioned that before his neck injury, he wanted to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 32.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted WWE’s original plans for Undertaker were to have a match with Brock Lesnar, then that match was moved up. After that, two more plans were in place, the second of which was not Sting, and the third was John Cena, before he got hurt. Once all of these plans were unable to happen, Vince McMahon then went ahead and came up with Shane McMahon’s return to face Undertaker as a new option.

Lucha Underground star Brian Cage recently took part in a Reddit AMA session, and one fan asked his opinion about WWE Superstar Ryback. Cage posted the following comments:

Everybody says he’s the B version of me, or what the WWE wishes they with me. But I don’t think that, I think he’s actually an underrated wrestler. I trained with Reeves. Back then I was the mini-machine and we had a shoot session and I was 20 pounds lighter than I am now and I choked him out. So, maybe I am better than him, but I don’t dislike him. I do appreciate too that he tries to steal my moves.
