Mickey Gall Labels Professional Wrestling “Fake”, Says CM Punk is Not a “Legit UFC Talent”, Comments on Punk’s Injury Status and More

CM Punk’s UFC debut fight opponent Mickey Gall recently spoke with The Fan Garage to hype the Gall vs Punk UFC bout, and below are some interview highlights:

His thoughts on Pro Wrestling:

“I think wrestling is entertaining. I used to be a big fan of it when I was a kid . They do some cool stuff but I think it does not even compare to MMA. MMA is real, that stuff [wrestling], the falls and slams are real but it’s all fake, it’s all pretended, it’s like athletic acting.”

His thoughts on CM Punk’s MMA skills:

“I haven’t seen much of CM Punk but I’m very confident that he is not as good as me any area. I don’t think he is a legit UFC talent. He could be a tough guy and I’m sure he is a talented guy but I don’t think he could acquire the skills that I have in such a limited time that he had put into it.”

On CM Punk’s surgery and status:

“Apparently Punk had only a minor surgery. He said he was suffering from lingering back problems. I hope that is healthy so that we could fight. I hope it is being handled properly by his team.”

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
