Backstage News on The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Future Following Hell in a Cell and Charlotte Winning the New WWE Womens Title

According to PWInsider.com, there was a lot of back-and-forth over the past week as to who would win the new WWE Womens Title at WrestleMania 32, and the decision to have Charlotte win was reportedly made a few days ago. At that point, however, the plan was still for the Divas Title to be on the line in the match, as original plans in WWE did not call for the new Womens title to debut until Raw tonight. This changed, however, when the Champions were announced to appear on NBC’s the “Today” show this morning.

Many people expected Sasha Banks to win the title at WrestleMania 32, and while that had been discussed, ultimately the decision was made for Charlotte to win.

With regards to The Undertaker’s future at WrestleMania, despite his win over Shane McMahon in Hell in a Cell, there was a lot of backstage speculation that this year might have been The Dead Man’s final WrestleMania match.

Undertaker reportedly had a lot of friends and family in Dallas and at AT&T Stadium for his Hell in a Cell match, and there was speculation backstage that ‘Taker taking off his gloves had some kind of symbolic meaning.
