AJ Styles Talks Becoming #1 Contender, Losing to Chris Jericho at WrestleMania, Facing Roman Reigns for the WWE World Title and More

#1 contender to the WWE World Title AJ Styles is this week’s guest on the sit down interview with Michael Cole, and below are some highlights:

On appearing his experience in WWE so far, Styles says he never thought everything would happen so fast for him. From debuting at the Royal Rumble, to defeating Chris Jericho on Raw, to appearing at WrestleMania, to now being the #1 contender to the WWE World Title, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Styles says the feeling of appearing at WrestleMania is indescribable, and he has wrestled all over the world and nothing compares to WrestleMania.

On losing to Chris Jericho, Styles says that you learn to hate losing the more you lose, and that he bounced back the next night and became #1 contender.

On facing Roman Reigns, Michael Cole noted the size difference between Styles and Reigns, but Styles says he thinks he can handle the Champion. Styles adds you have to make everything count when you’re in the ring with a guy like Reigns and he is prepared for that.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
