Update on a Top Lucha Underground Star Possibly Heading to WWE

As we’ve noted in the past, WWE has interest in top Lucha Underground star Ricochet, who wrestles in LU as Prince Puma.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Ricochet is not accepting any indy bookings after June, making it likely the former Lucha Underground Champion is indeed headed to WWE.

Xavier Woods Talks Vince McMahon’s Reactions to The New Day Ring Gear

WWE star Xavier Woods recently spoke with IGN, and during the interview Woods revealed Kofi Kingston is the one who came up with the New Day’s Dragon Ball Z-inspired outfits for WrestleMania 32.

Woods added that he feels more comfortable now coming up with ideas for New Day’s ring gear, and he revealed the usual reaction Vince McMahon gives them when he sees their gear:

“It’s funny, because we’ll always have some kind of harebrained idea, and then [Vince] sees it right before we go through the curtain, and just kind of gives a little grin and thumbs up.

It’s to a point now where we kind of have a little bit more trust than we did when we started. And they know we’re not going to go out there and do something that’s going to mess up a sponsorship or anything like that. Things we do are going to do are going to be in-bounds for our PG parameters. Still be fine for kids, but then have something that’s a little bit for adults. We liken it to Shrek: we’re in PG parameters but there’s jokes in there for adults if you’re paying attention.”
