The Blue Meanie Remembers ‘ECW Barely Legal’ Anniversary, UpUpDownDown Dives Into WWE 2K16 Career Mode (Videos)

ECW Barely Legal

Today marked the 19th anniversary of ECW’s pay-per-view debut with ‘ECW Barely Legal’ on April 13th, 1997, main evented by Terry Funk challenging Raven for the ECW Championship.

The Blue Meanie, who was in Stevie Richards’ corner for the main event, posted the following remarks in rememberance of the first ECW PPV:

19 years ago today I was afforded one of the greatest opportunities in the wrestling business. There aren’t many firsts you get to be a part of but I was fortunate to be part of ECW’s very first pay per view “Barely Legal”. I was fortunate enough to not only be a part of ECW’s very first pay per view but along with the Blue World Order I got to be part of the main event as Stevie Richards fought Terry Funk and The Sandman for the right challenge Raven for the ECW title.

Time has flown by since then and while ECW is no more, it’s moments like the one I shared with my wrestling family 19 years ago that make me grateful for that special night with the wrestlers and fans. A moment that can NEVER be taken away from us.
