After Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows approached AJ Styles and thanked him for getting them into WWE, the pair ended up attacking Roman Reigns during a promo between Styles and Reigns.
Following a break, Reigns accused Styles of putting them up to it, but Styles denied knowing anything and said they were just friends that go back. AJ says he had no idea that was going to happen but Reigns isn’t buying it, and Reigns says Styles brought his ‘boys’ to WWE. Reigns says AJ needs to tell the truth or sell a new story, but AJ says he doesn’t need his friends to beat Roman for the title. Reigns says last week Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows attacked his family, and now him, so AJ can bring all the friends he wants to Payback because he’ll need them.
