FITE TV Launches New Upgrades

San Mateo, CA (May 25, 2016) – FITE TV, a free mobile app for viewing fighting sports on TV using only a smartphone, announced the addition of several new upgrades. The new upgrades will include access to FITE programming from the FITE TV website, live Twitter chats within the app and video upload.

Many of FITE TV’s live PPV events will now be available on FITE.TV. The fights can be viewed from any desktop computer, laptop or tablet even without an account with FITE TV.

While watching an event through the app, users are now able to follow and participate in live chat sessions with other viewers while never leaving the app. The feature uses the mobile screen to offer community interaction while the events are streaming live on TV.

In addition, by clicking on the red film strip located on the iOS app home page, the new video-sharing feature will allow viewers and fighting sports practitioners to upload their own videos – workouts, workshops, demonstrations or sparring footage – for fans around the world to see. Videos are reviewed by the FITE TV editorial team, published and promoted in the community channel within the app.

“Our goal is to create an online community for fighting sports fans to engage with one another through the app as well as the website,” says Michael Weber, senior vice president of marketing with FITE TV. “FITE TV’s new features will create a more interactive experience for our audience and serve this community of likeminded people.”

Since FITE TV’s debut in February, the app has partnered with over 75 different programmers to supply live and video-on-demand fights to FITE TV viewers. Some of FITE’s programming partners include Ring of Honor Wrestling, Golden Boy Promotions, AXS TV, World Series of Fighting, Tuff-N-Uff and EVOLVE Wrestling. To view the full partner list, it can be found on FITE TV’s website. To learn more about FITE, go to www.fite.tv or to download the app, go to Google Play: http://bit.ly/1QnPolu or iTunes: http://apple.co/1PxQGKT.
