On the job WWE is doing creating new Superstars:

VR: This is my opinion. I’m so freaking tired of people calling me names and being so negative and being so harsh when I give my opinion. This is MY opinion. Whether people agree or disagree with my opinion I DON’T CARE. It doesn’t matter to me. I’m basically giving you my opinion. People that take my opinion personally… something is freaking wrong with you upstairs. You should go to freaking therapy or something. I think a lot of these guys are lost. I think the lack of character development. I’m talking about week to week to week to week of refining characters. I think a lot of these guys are lost. I think a lot of these guys don’t know who they are or who they are supposed to be. We have to remember, bro, that a lot of these guys are young. A lot of these guys are green. Unless they are getting constant attention and somebody is there with the detail to everything they do and when to do it and why they’re doing it. I just feel a lot of these guys are lost. Let’s take Ambrose for example. He’s “The Lunatic Fringe.” What does that mean? Just because you label the guy “A Lunatic” doesn’t make him a lunatic. That’s in the writing and the storytelling. The situations you put him in. A guy’s not going to be a lunatic because you say he’s a lunatic. I think there are a lot of guys like Ambrose that because they haven’t been properly defined I think their heads are screwed up and a lot of them don’t even know what their character is.
