As we noted last night, WWE is interested in potentially featuring one or more UFC stars in a segment at SummerSlam this year, as part of the deal which allows Brock Lesnar to fight at UFC 200. One of the rumored UFC names WWE is considering is Paige VanZant, and representatives for the UFC star confirmed to FOX Sports that WWE officials recently reached out about booking her “in some capacity” at SummerSlam in August.

Tonight’s edition of Impact Wrestling is the final broadcast before this Sunday night’s TNA Slammiversary PPV, and the following matches have been taped:

-Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett vs. Gail Kim and Ethan Carter III

-Matt Hardy vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Drew Galloway

In related news, TNA participated in the 2016 AAA Lucha Libre World Cup, and was eliminated in the quarter finals by Team Mexico International.
