Evolve 63 Results: WWE Cruiserweight “Flashpoint”, EC3 vs Gargano Last Man Standing, 5-Man Elimination, Evolve Title Match & More

Evolve 63

June 11, 2016

Results by Mike Killam for Wrestlezone.com

(Pre-Show) Rory Gulak vs Joe Coffey. People are still walking in and getting seated. Gulak wins with a brutal looking standing variation of the Boston Crab.

-We’re live and it’s announced that the Timothy Thatcher vs Tracy Williams non-title match is now for the Evolve Championship. Also, Tony Nese will be added to the elimination match main event, and if he wins he will be added to the WWE Cruiserweight Classic.

(1) Cedric Alexander def. Fred Yehi. Very fun, evenly-matched contest. Yehi tried to work a leg throughout the match to take Alexander’s air game out. Cedric won with a Death Valley Driver into the bottom turnbuckle, followed by a Lumbar Check. Handshake after the match.

(2) The Bravados def. Jason Cade & Darby Allen. Lots of heat for the Bravados. Because it had to be done at some point in the evening, Cade did a headscissors takedown on the floor with an assist from the basketball hoop.

(3) Matt Riddle def. Trevor Lee. Match of the night candidate. Riddle took some ridiculous bumps and actually looked injured multiple times. Lots of “this is awesome” chants; both of them really left it all out there.

Evolve Championship Match

(4) Timothy Thatcher (c) def. Tracy Williams to retain. Another incredible match.

-Matt Riddle makes his way out and kicks around the Evolve Championship, wanting to know when he’s going to get his title shot. Stokely Hathaway interrupts and talks about getting TJP into the Cruiserweight Classic before insulting both Riddle and Thatcher. He petitions Thatcher to give TJP a title shot. The champ says TJP can have his title match, but after he beats him, he wants Riddle in a No Holds Barred match.

Elimination Match

If Tony Nese Wins, He Qualifies For WWE Cruiserweight Classic

(5) Tony Nese vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Drew Gulak vs. TJP vs. Lince Dorado. Gargano is eliminated first by Gulak, and as he’s walking up the ramp he’s attacked by EC3 and Galloway. Dorado eliminated second by TJP. Gulak eliminated third by TJP. Nese pins TJP to win after a spike piledriver and 450 splash.

Anything Goes Match

(6) Drew Galloway def. Ethan Page. They brought out all the weapons and brawled all over the place. Brutal match.

-After the match, EC3 came out and cut a promo on “saving” Evolve from itself with Galloway. They ran down the list of names they’ve taken out and said there’s nobody left standing. Out comes Johnny Gargano, limping down the ramp, who is apparently still standing. He challenges EC3 to a Last Man Standing match, and the match is accepted.

Last Man Standing Match

(7) Johnny Gargano def. Ethan Carter III. After having the bulk of the actual match, Carter knocks out the referee and tells a ring crew member to start taking apart the ring. Gargano then puts him in the Gargano Escape using a hook from the ring ropes until Galloway breaks it up. The two beat down Gargano until TJP and Gulak run down and make the save. The referee hits EC3 with a superkick (LOL!) and the Evolve boys throw him from the ring as the ref makes the 10 count.
