Will Ospreay vs Vader Actually Happening, Which WWE NXT Women Are Likely to Get Called Up?, CM Punk’s UFC Fight Debut Official

In today’s WrestleTalk News, rumoured call ups from NXT for the WWE brand split, Will Ospreay vs. Vader actually happening and CM Punk’s UFC debut gets an official date!

Which NXT Women Could Be Called Up?

Our first story today is some more news on the upcoming WWE brand split, specifically regarding the women’s division.

PWInsider are reporting that there are plans to call up Bayley, Carmella and Nia Jax from NXT to strengthen the women’s roster. As for where the women are likely to end up following the brand split, the current plan is apparently have the division appear on both shows, rather than being exclusive to either Smackdown or Raw.

As for more NXT call ups, PWInsider are reporting that 6 names are currently being looked at for the draft, with 10-12 being considered overall for call ups to the main roster – however, we don’t know who these names are.

Ospreay vs Vader Actually Happening

It’s a strange time to be a wrestling fan. Social media means that wrestlers who in the past might never acknowledge each other’s existence (I’m looking at you Xavier Woods and Kenny Omega), are now building to actual matches based on a few tweets.

You may remember a few weeks ago that wrestling legend Vader made some not too complimentary comments about the Best of the Super Juniors match between Will Ospreay and Ricochet. He called it nothing more than a memorised gymnastics routine.

Those comments went on to make the match one of the most controversial in recent memory and has led to Vader and Ospreay exchanging a number of jabs back and forth.

This has all led to a match between the two now being confirmed for a Rev Pro show in August. If I was Will Ospreay, I wouldn’t fancy getting in the ring with one of the most infamously hard hitting wrestlers of all time.
