8-Time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, Harley Race, is proud to announce the latest signing to his annual week-long training camp. With the recent announcements of Dave Taylor attending on WWE’s behalf, and “The Hurricane” Shane Helms also attending, this camp already has the potential to be one of the best professional wrestling camps that an aspiring up and comer would want to be a part of. Now, Mr. Race and his professional wrestling academy and promotion are pleased to announce a HUGE signing of a megastar in New Japan Pro-Wrestling!

Hiroshi Tanahashi, 7-Time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, has been confirmed to attend the 2016 Harley Race Wrestling Camp! As Tanahashi rarely comes to the United States, this is an opportunity to learn from one of the absolute best wrestlers today.

As a veteran of professional wrestling for 18 years, Tanahashi trained at the New Japan Pro-Wrestling Dojo. Very early into his career, he was viewed as a top prospect in the company, and was able to get major wins over legends in this sport such as Negro Casas and Scott Hall.

Throughout his career, he has been able to obtain nearly every New Japan Pro-Wrestling championship including the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, IWGP Intercontinental Championship, IWGP Tag-Team Championship, IWGP 6-Man Championship, and winning tournaments including the widely-talked about G1 Climax Tournament not only once, but twice. Tanahashi rarely makes appearances in the United States, and the Harley Race Wrestling Academy/WLW is happy to announce that he WILL be attending the 2016 Harley Race Wrestling Camp!

In addition to that, New Japan Pro-Wrestling will also be represented by 3 younger wrestlers, and the match-maker of the company! If you wanted to try and earn a spot on the New Japan Pro-Wrestling roster, then this is YOUR opportunity to do so.

To recap all of the trainers and companies represented at this highly-regarded wrestling camp, Dave Taylor will be attending on behalf of WWE, Hiroshi Tanahashi and 4 others will be attending on behalf of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and former WWE/WCW/TNA Superstar Shane Helms ALL are scheduled to attend as guest trainers!

Dave Taylor Attending 2016 Harley Race Wrestling Camp

Harley Race, along with his professional wrestling promotion – World League Wrestling, are pleased to announce the latest signing for guest trainers at the 2016 Harley Race Wrestling Camp!

Earlier this summer, the Harley Race Wrestling Academy and WLW announced that Jerry Brisco would be attending the 2016 Harley Race Wrestling Camp on behalf of WWE. Due to a scheduling conflict, Mr. Brisco will not be able to attend this year’s training camp. However, Mr. Race and WWE sat down and were able to come up with a more-than-suitable replacement, and that is the great British wrestling legend and WCW/WWE Superstar Dave Taylor!

Dave Taylor has been involved in professional wrestling for nearly 40 years competing across the globe. Starting in Great Britain as a third generation wrestler, Taylor competed all across Europe and was involved in some of the most memorable feuds.

In the mid-1990’s, Dave Taylor joined WCW forming a team with Steve Regal and Bobby Eaton. There, he made a name for himself continuing his style of wrestling which led to the team becoming one of the most villainous teams in the company.

In 2006, Dave Taylor signed with WWE as not only a wrestler, but also a trainer in the developmental system. Teaming with William Regal once again, the team continued their success over many other teams, including Paul London and Brian Kendrick. After Regal was drafted to RAW in 2007, Taylor became the mentor to Drew McIntyre.

Since then, Taylor has remained active in professional wrestling, scouting talent for WWE on occasion and running training camps.

Dave Taylor will be attending the 2016 Harley Race Wrestling Camp on behalf of WWE to scout and evaluate talent to suggest to WWE. In addition to WWE and Dave Taylor attending the 2016 Harley Race Wrestling Camp, he will be joined by the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi and other New Japan Pro-Wrestling stars and staff, and “The Hurricane” Shane Helms.
