Our top story today is which former TNA world champion who made his long awaited debut at the most recent NXT tapings, but first – a quick bit of foreshadowing, because – let’s be honest – we’re all petrified of change. In the spirit of the brand split, we’re going to revamp the look of the WrestleTalk News next week. Start getting excited.
But not as excited as you will be for our first story…Rock ‘The Dwayne’ Johnson is genuinely considering running for president.
Because world politics has decided to give up being serious over the last year or so, The Rock explained his previous comments about running for President to breakfast show Good Morning America:
“Well it’s very real. The idea of me becoming President one day has become a legit thing to some people. As time goes on, we take the temperature of the American people. If it is an overwhelming, positive, strong ‘we want you to run for President’, and if I felt that I can step up to the plate and become a tremendous leader and make a real difference and make change, I would do it.”
Perhaps he could run on a joint ticket with Brock Lesnar about kicking social unrest’s collective ass.
In the meantime, The Dwayne can make do with just being the highest paid actor in the world. He has just been ranked at number 19 on Forbes’ World’s Highest Paid Celebrities list.
