Jinder Mahal

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting Jinder Mahal is being considered for a possible WWE return.

PW Sheet says multiple sources have told them Jinder has been speaking with WWE about making a return, but it’s been a few weeks since the two sides spoke. This news follows PWInsider.com’s earlier report that Curt Hawkins and Rhyno are also on their way back to WWE.

Sin Cara

In regards to the reported fight that took place at this week’s WWE Smackdown tapings between Sin Cara and Simon Gotch, it was said by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it was more of a ‘one-sided destruction’.

The Observer confirmed PWInsider.com’s report and said it wasn’t really much of a fight, but a quick incident and in favor of Sin Cara. It’s still unknown how it started and why it happened, but the first reports from PWInsider said it happened at catering.

WWE Backlash

As noted, WWE Backlash will be returning to the WWE pay-per-view calendar, and is scheduled for September 11th at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia.

Tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster later this month, with a presale starting July 27th, and the public on sale date falling on July 30th. WWE has also update a Backlash subsection of their website, featuring a new wordmark and Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Becky Lynch and The Miz as the advertised Superstars for the event.

Although it remains unconfirmed, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter previously noted that the reason the Backlash PPV would be a WWE Network exclusive event is because it would run sooner than the 90 day minimum that PPV providers normally stick to.
