CM Punk Says WWE Stars Got “Worked” By Conor McGregor, Calls Fighting on Twitter “Embarrassing” and Talks Being “Tough” in WWE

CM Punk recently spoke with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg, and you can watch the entire appearance below.

During the appearance, CM Punk addressed Conor McGregor’s recent remarks about WWE and says he wasn’t surprised by what McGregor had to say. He said times are different now and you don’t have to be a legit tough guy to be in the WWE locker room anymore. He did say back when he was in WWE, guys like Edge, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Chris Benoit and others made him fight for his spot in the company.

Punk added he was also surprised at how many WWE stars “fell for” McGregor’s comments, including Ric Flair, and Punk said they all got “worked” by the UFC star. CM Punk did clarify that he wasn’t just harping on WWE stars, as non-wrestlers also fell for McGregor’s trolling. Punk also said he thinks fighting on Twitter is “embarrassing.”
