Adam Cole defeated Jay Lethal to regain the Ring of Honor World Champion at tonight’s ROH Death Before Dishonor XIV pay-per-view, live from Las Vegas.

However, while Cole was victorious in his match with Lethal, it was the returning Kyle O’Reilly that ended the night raising the world title over his head. O’Reilly, a long-time rival of Cole’s (the two started their runs in ROH as tag team partners in a relatively short-lived tag team called Future Shock) is a former PWG World Champion, a two-time IWGP Jr. tag team champion, and a three-time ROH tag team champion.

Cole, the leader of the Western branch of the Bullet Club, is now only the third two-time champion in company history, after Austin Aries (2004 and 2009) and Jay Briscoe (2013 and 2014). Lethal’s impressive streak as world champion ends at 427 days, making him the fourth longest reigning champion in company history, after Bryan Danielson (462), Nigel McGuinness (545) and Samoa Joe (645).
