Moments ago, WWE RAW General Manager Mick Foley announced new WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor would relinquish his title, just one night after winning the new title due to injury.
Balor was injured when Seth Rollins powerbombed him into the barricade during their championship match at WWE Summerslam last night. According to ringside physician Chris Robinson, Balor dislocated his shoulder but put it back into place, and said today’s MRI results showed a possible labrum tear. If the labrum tear is confirmed, Balor could miss 2-3 months of time.
It was last reported that Balor will have a surgical consult this week do determine the severity of the injury; Foley posted the following:
