UFC star Anthony Pettis recently appeared on The Roman Show to hype last night’s UFC on Fox 21 fight against Charles Oliveira. You can listen to in full at this link and below, and the following are some interview highlights.
UFC fighter Anthony Pettis believes CM Punk will surprise a lot of the critics. The former lightweight champion has been seen training with CM Punk at Duke Roufus’ camp where both fighters train in Wisconsin.
He plans on being in the arena when CM Punk makes his mixed martial arts debut on the UFC 203 fight card.
“I think people think he is horrible but that’s not the case,” he told The Roman Show. “He came along way.”
In the recent FS 1 special, CM Punk and Pettis were seen sparring.
“No, I am not a fan of pro wrestling. I know Punk is from Chicago, as a kid I was a fan of pro wrestling,” he said. “Punk is looking good he can surprise people. He put the work in.”
As for his fight Saturday, he feels confident, as he is ready to make his featherweight debut.
“I feel motivate,” he said. “I put the work in and am ready to take care of business.“
Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.
