Update on Sasha Banks’ Injury Changing Original WWE Plans for Bayley

As seen on WWE Raw last week, Bayley made her WWE Raw debut last week and won a singles match against Dana Brooke.

Originally, Bayley was not scheduled to leave NXT until sometime in September, but plans for the former NXT Women’s Champion changed when Sasha Banks was sidelined with an injury. The void left by Banks’ injury and absence on TV is why WWE made the move to call Bayley up sooner. Additionally, Bayley was not scheduled to be involved in the Women’s Title picture upon being called up to Raw, but due to Banks’ injury Bayley was fast tracked into the title picture.

Backstage News on Kazuchika Okada Attending SummerSlam

As noted, current New Japan Pro Wrestling IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada attended WWE SummerSlam and was backstage for the event, which generated a lot of speculation regarding his status in either NJPW or WWE.

According to PWInsider.com, Okada was at SummerSlam strictly as Shinsuke Nakamura’s guest, and was not there to negotiate with WWE. Okada is under contract with NJPW right now and cannot legally negotiate with WWE:

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
