Backstage Update on Finn Balor’s Injury and Surgery

As we noted earlier today, injured WWE star Finn Balor appeared on this week’s edition of The Ross Report podcast and he offered the following update on his WWE ring return timetable:

The original diagnosis was 4 to 6 months, but when they found the extra problems in there, they said it was going to be a hard fix now. You know, I can try to shave some extra time off but I’m not going to. If I am ready before 6 months, I’m going to make sure that when the time 6 months is there I am going to be better than ever.

According to PWInside.com, torn labrums can sideline athletes for up to 8-9 months, and while there was some hope last week that Balor could be back in a WWE Ring in time for WrestleMania 33 season, perhaps even for the 2017 Royal Rumble in January, it’s still too early to tell.

Latest News on the Dudleys Leaving WWE

With regards to The Dudley Boyz leaving WWE, PWInsider is reporting both Devon and Bubba Ray had verbally agreed to new deals with WWE, but the deals were never signed off on sometime during the week leading up to their final appearance with the company. The deals they were offered were reportedly for one to two years, and everything was agreed upon, including financial terms. For reasons still unknown, the decision was made not to sign the new deals and both sides parted ways.
