CM Punk Talks Not Fighting in UFC to Be Famous, Comparisons to Brock Lesnar, His Bout Against Mickey Gall and More

CM Punk recently spoke with Inside MMA to hype his upcoming bout against Mickey Gall at UFC 203, and during the interview Punk had the following to say on why he is fighting in UFC:

“I’m not trying to do this to be famous. You boil it down, and it’s a guy that always wanted to do this [and] was married to a completely different industry and left it all to do something that he always wanted to do.”

On his fight against Gall Punk says he “100%” expects to win, and the fight is not a one-and-done situation for him in UFC.

On comparisons to Brock Lesnar, Punk says people will always make those comparisons as the two were both in Pro Wrestling, but you cannot compare anyone to Lesnar as he is in a category of his own.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
