WWE Smackdown Live star Carmella recently spoke with DC 101’s Mike Jones in advance of the upcoming Smackdown live event in Fairfax, Virginia next Monday, September 12th.

Carmella being away from Enzo and Cass:
“It was bittersweet because I love my boys, and being with them was such a blast, we had so much fun for a few years. But I’m ready to be on my own and breakout. I was a cheerleader in the NBA and NFL, on the sidelines, I’ve done that. I’m ready for it to be all about me, in the ring. I’ve been in NXT for almost three years, I trained my butt off to not just be on the sidelines. Now it’s a great opportunity for me to be in the ring, hone my craft and do my thing!”
Carmella on her feud with Nikki Bella:
“I’m making it all about me. Nikki Bella is back and that didn’t sit well with me. I think it’s time for her to let some of the new girls come in here an do our thing. September 12th is the night after Backlash and I’m thinking I’m coming to Fairfax with the new Smackdown Live Women’s Championship.”
Carmella talks about the backstage reaction to Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton at Summerslam:
“Everyone was kind of speechless. Brock Lesnar is a beast, he really is. But Randy Orton is very intense too, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens next.”
