New Champion Crowned at WWE Backlash
We have our first ever Smackdown Women’s Champion, following an excellent match in the opening minutes of tonight’s WWE Backlash pay-per-view. Becky Lynch last submitted Carmella in a six-way elimination match to become the new and inaugural champion! The eliminations are as follows:
- Naomi eliminated Alexa Bliss with a top rope blockbuster-powerbomb combo.
- Natalya eliminated Naomi with the Sharpshooter.
- Nikki Bella eliminated Natalya with a modified argentine backbreaker.
- Carmella eliminated Nikki Bella with a roll-up.
- Becky Lynch eliminated Carmella with an armbar to win the title.
Alexa Bliss Rocking a Brand New Look
WWE Smackdown Superstar Alexa Bliss debuted a brand new look tonight, and as many fans have pointed out, it is reminiscent of popular DC Comics villain and Suicide Squad character Harley Quinn.
