Billy Corgan Comments On TNA Ownership Bid, Current Bound For Glory Situation, Changes Coming To The Company

TNA President Billy Corgan was a guest on Busted Open Radio today, discussing TNA’s future, his ownership bid, the status of the TNA Bound For Glory and more.

Corgan did say he legally can’t talk about all of the things going on right now, but told Busted Open that he has been trying to acquire a majority share of the company. He said TNA has always had a stigma of being seen as for sale for a long time, and he’s taken a larger company role within the past several months.

Corgan said there are a lot of people involved with the potential sale of the company, and TNA will see a change in direction this week or weekend. Corgan said it could mean the company ends or just begins a new era, and he hopes TNA will continue, but there will be a major change coming.

Corgan asks that fans paying attention to this ongoing story should be considerate of the talent involved, but he was working to make sure everyone continues to work. He noted that POP TV’s President and Vice President of Programming were in support of TNA moving forward and gave a vote of confidence, and they were happy with company growth and positive social media reaction.

Corgan spoke about the TNA Bound For Glory PPV and rumors that it would or would not go on as scheduled, and he said he believed it will all be worked out by Sunday. He brought up stepping in to help with the last three sets of TNA TV tapings, and he’s done everything he could on his end and is committed to move forward. Corgan said he cannot speak on anyone else’s behalf, but he will be in Orlando on Sunday, hopefully in a ring promoting the PPV.
