Paige Reportedly Also Involved In Del Rio Incident With Knife Attacker

Yesterday the speculation around Alberto Del Rio’s story that he was attacked by a man wielding a knife recently started to bubble to the surface. ProWrestlingSheet.com’s Ryan Satin appeared on Eric Bischoff’s podcast Bischoff on Wrestling and went in to detail about how he called the San Antonio police looking for a report on the incident but came up dry.

The latest twist to the story regards Del Rio’s real life girlfriend WWE Superstar Paige. The original report that MLW released regarding Del Rio’s incident did not include any mentions of Paige being there. However, one account that Del Rio gave the Mexican media did include her. Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer also claims to have had a story involving her in the incident relayed to him. The report notes that Del Rio and the man went to the ground while the man was still stabbing at Del Rio. At that point Paige got involved in the altercation and was thrown by the suspect. Del Rio then went to check on her and that’s when the knife wielding attacker took off in his car.

The fact that Paige was also involved in this incident has raised questions about why Del Rio was not able to contact Triple A following the incident. While he claims to have lost his phone in the melee his girlfriend Paige could have easily used her own phone to begin the process of reaching out to Triple A.
