WWE star and #1 contender to the WWE Smackdown Women’s Title Alexa Bliss recently spoke with The Idaho Press to promote Sunday’s WWE live event in Nampa. Below are some interview highlights:

On how tough the wrestling business is:

“People don’t realize everything we go through. There are so many times I’ve gotten bloody noses or have gotten all bruised up. Nothing you do can prepare you for the toll this takes on your body. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

On once upsetting the parent of a young WWE fan:

“I’m a bad guy right now. So at the last live event, I went to go high-five this woman’s kid and I ended up not doing it and she got really upset with me. Deep down I was kind of scared of her, but it was actually really funny. But that’s why I love traveling. I get to meet so many different people and go to so many different places that I’ve never been before, Nampa for example.”

On her November 8th WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship match against Becky Lynch:

“I’m definitely ready for that match. I’ve gone to the performance center and trained a little bit more in the ring. I’ve been watching tape and studying her. I’ve seen everything she can do, but she hasn’t seen everything I can do. She may have paved the way for me, but I’m going to take the title and become the evolution of the new era.”
