Austin Aries Possibly Injured At NXT Live Event

At last night’s WWE NXT Live event in Fresno, CA it appears that Austin Aries may have been injured.

Aries took a kick to the face from Shinsuke Nakamura before going down quickly to the mat. After taking one more move from Nakamura the ref moves in to check on Aries before throwing up the “x” sign to the backstage area indicating a real injury. The referee then calls for the bell to end the match.

At this time we are not entirely sure the extent of Aries injury but will report it as new information becomes available.

WWE’s NXT Plans For Shinsuke Nakamura

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter the plan is to make Shinsuke Nakamura the flagship NXT Superstar for the foreseeable future. At this time there are no plans to call him up to the main roster.
