Lucha Underground Lands German TV Deal

Turner.com has announced that Lucha Underground signed a new TV deal with TNT Serie in Germany. The first season of the show will begin airing on December 10th and will air each Saturday at 10:40pm. Commentary will be done in German by Mike Ritter and former WWE German announcer Günter Zapf. The rest of the content will air with German sub-titles.

WWE Raw Rating Sees Decrease

The final rating for this week’s edition of WWE Raw, which saw the return of Brock Lesnar, was a 2.01, down from last week’s 2.17. As noted, this week’s show averaged 2.819 million viewers, down from last week’s 3.130 million viewership average.

WWE Executive Addresses Recent WWE Network Rumors

As noted, a third quarter WWE financial call took place earlier today and was joined by Vince McMahon and WWE Chief Strategy and Financial Officer George Barrios.

During the call, a number of questions were asked regarding recent WWE Network rumors. With regards to the WWE Fan Council surveys on Network price points and possible independent wrestling content, Barrios said he wouldn’t read too much into it, as the company is always gauging fan interest to see what they want from the Network. He added it’s just part of running the business and keeping connected to the audience to see what they find valuable.

Barrios also teased potential announcements in Orlando next year during WrestleMania 33 week with NBCUniversal, and noted WWE Network bundles are still being considered and we may see offers like that in the next few months.
