NJPW Power Struggle

New Japan Pro Wrestling returns to Osaka, Japan this weekend for Power Struggle, the final major pay-per-view event before the WrestleMania of Japanese pro wrestling, Wrestle Kingdom 11. The event will be streamed live through New Japan World early Saturday morning in the U.S., starting at 3:00 am EST. Wrestlezone will have full live coverage of the show, which features four championship matches and some of the final build towards the biggest show of the year.

Heading into their main event match at the Tokyo Dome, G1 winner and challenger Kenny Omega will bring the Bullet Club together as he, Adam Cole and the Young Bucks take on IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, Gedo, Will Ospreay and Hirooki Goto of CHAOS in a massive 8-man tag team match.

Tetsuya Naito will put the IWGP Intercontinental Championship on the line against a man that has been somewhat of a thorn in his side, former Ring of Honor champion Jay Lethal. But that is only the first of four title matches on this card. Katsuyori Shibata defends the NEVER Openweight title against another Los Ingobernables member and a man who had an impressive showing in this year’s G1 tournament, EVIL, while BUSHI defends the Jr. Heavyweight Championship against former champion KUSHIDA. Finally, Sanada will face the biggest challenge of his career to date as he steps into the ring against the ace of New Japan, Hiroshi Tanahashi in the fourth major match for the LIJ faction at Power Struggle.

The Bullet Club’s Guerrillas of Destiny will defend the IWGP Tag Team Championships against the team of Yoshi-Hashi and Tomohiro Ishii, while Baretta and Rocky Romero take on ACH and Taiji Ishimori in the finals of the Super Jr. Tag Team Tournament. The undercard will also feature four multi-man tag team matches, including the likes of Jushin Thunder Liger, Ricochet, David Finlay, three members of the Bullet Club, Satoshi Kojima, Juice Robinson, a trio of CMLL talents and more.

Join us bright and early tomorrow morning (or late tonight if you’re still awake) for coverage of NJPW Power Struggle, kicking off at 3:00 am EST.
