According to the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Natalya replacing Nikki Bella at WWE Survivor Series was the original plan for the match from the very beginning, and Bella was not replaced due to any kind of an injury. Speculation is Natalya replaced Bella in order to setup a feud between Nikki and The Queen of Hearts.
With regards to Becky Lynch eliminating Nia Jax in the Survivor Series match, there was speculation regarding that particular elimination, but Dave Meltzer noted that too was the original match plan. The only change is that the elimination was supposed to come sooner than it did, and was supposed to happen after Lynch and Alexa Bliss double teamed Jax. Instead, Lynch drop kicked Jax after the double team maneuver, then tangled with Alexa Bliss for a while before she made another pin attempt on Jax and finally locked in the Disarmher.
