Broken Matt Hardy Invades ROH Final Battle w/ Surprise Message, Former Champ Pulled From PPV Due to Family Emergency

Broken Matt Hardy Invades ROH Final Battle

Broken Matt Hardy made a surprise appearance video pre-recorded video at tonight’s ROH Final Battle pay-per-view in New York City, and delivered a surprise message to the Young Bucks and the Briscoes following their excellent match for the ROH tag team titles.

Hardy noted that he and Brother Nero (Jeff Hardy), the current reigning TNA tag team champions, are on a mandate to prove they are the best team in the entire world, and claimed that if necessary they would come to Ring of Honor to face off against the Bucks – who they call “Spot Monkeys” or “the Bucks of Youth” – and the Briscoe “hillbillies”. The two are of course under contract with TNA, who has infamously banned their talent from appearing on shows with PPV or IPPV in the past; given that Cody Rhodes was able to wrestle on this very show, that doesn’t seem to be a major problem among wrestlers with enough pull to do what they want.

We have previously reported that Matt Hardy and TNA officials have reached out to dozens of tag teams around the world, including the Young Bucks and more than likely the Briscoes, to appear in their upcoming Tag Team Apocalypto on Total Nonstop Deletion, an entire episode of Impact Wrestling filmed entirely at the Hardy Compound.

ROH Star Pulled For Family Emergency

Ring of Honor star Bobby Fish was pulled from tonight’s Final Battle pay-per-view in New York City at the last minute, due to what had previously been reported as a family emergency. Fish was advertised to compete as the fourth member of a Four Corners match for the ROH World TV Championship, against champion Marty Scurll, Will Ospreay and Dragon Lee.

It was confirmed by the commentary team at Final Battle that Fish left the Hammerstein Ballroom after being informed that his mother had passed away, and returned home to be with his family.

Our thoughts of course are with Bobby and his family in this difficult time.
