In Ring Segment: Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho
Owens starts to welcome everyone to the Kevin Owens Show, but he stops himself and welcomes everyone to the Chris and Kevin Show! Owens says he told us that he would do anything to keep the Universal title. He would even take a Code Breaker from his best friend. The monkeys in the truck (Owens’ words, not mine) show footage from the Roadblock PPV. Owens says even though that Code Breaker hurt, it hurt even more not know if Jericho was still his best friend. Jericho notes that the Code Breaker hurt him as well. He had to do it, regardless of how painful it was. Jericho gives Owens, the hug… of Jericho. For no real reason at all, Jericho starts to talk about Santa Claus. Jericho says Chris Cringle stole his gimmick… So SANTA JUST MADE THE LIST! Mick Foley walks down the ring and chastises Jericho for speaking negatively about Santa. Foley shows footage of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins beating down Jericho and Owens. Foley is wearing a god awful shirt… it has nothing to do with anything, but man, was it ugly.
Foley tells Owens and Jericho that they will have a tag team match against Reigns and Rollins later tonight. Foley says that Owens and Jericho always seem to find a way to hold on to the Universal title. That said, at the Royal Rumble, Owens will defend the Universal title against Reigns. Jericho will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage. Jericho complains that he is afraid of heights and the cage isn’t safe. Jericho gets in the cage. Jericho says the door isn’t sturdy at all. To prove that it is, Foley puts the chain on the door and locks it. Foley tells them both not to worry because he has the key in his fanny pack (yes… he is wearing a fanny pack). Foley can’t find the key, but he ensures Jericho and Owens that the cage will stay in the ring until he gives the signal, which he demonstrates. The cage is elevated as Jericho and Owens go nuts. Foley lets them know that they will work on getting a key, but until that, have a nice day!
