EB: At this point in your career, looking back, what would you say is the one most important thing you learned during your time at WWE?

TL: I learned a lot about the wrestling business as far as it being about money. When I worked in WCW I’d hear different things about the business side but I really didn’t understand what my role was as far as how to draw money. A lot of people don’t understand and they come in and they think it’s just, “walk out on TV and do something”. That’s not what it is. If you’re not walking out on TV proving yourself or walking out on TV and making people believe what you’re doing and helping the company make money then you ain’t doin’ nothing. I’ll say this much Eric… Vince McMahon certainly made a man out of me. A lot of times in WCW I had a problem with slacking or I didn’t care. I’d be all, “Ahhh I don’t know if I want to do this. I don’t know what I want to do tonight.” I couldn’t do that there because Vince McMahon is strictly business. He made a man out of me. He let me know, “When you come here you come here to work. This is what you’re going to do. I don’t care what you do in your off time but when you are here you are going to work and you are going to be a professional and learn that this is a business.” So I learned a lot about wrestling and I learned it’s a business and what it’s really all about. That’s what I really learned from WWE.
