WWE Hall of Famer and former RAW GM Mick Foley has posted the following to his official Facebook page:

The Latest On Recent WWE Trademarks

On April 21st WWE applied for the trademark to Tajiri. This was unfortunately just two days before the company announced that they would not be bringing him back due to injury.

WWE has also applied for the trademarks to Jack Gallagher and Big Cass.
