The Miz joined an exclusive new “club” on this Sunday’s special episode of Miz TV, as the former world champion invited Finn Balor on his show in the final moments of the WWE Payback Kickoff Show.
After the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” called Balor’s one day WWE Universal Championship a failure and trashed the followers of his Balor Club, the two exchanged some heated words and Finn invited Miz to join what he calls the “Finn Balor Just Kicked My Ass Club”. After some provocation, the Demon King then dropped Miz with a Slingblade and a running dropkick that sent him packing.
Before their physical exchange took place, Balor made the bold claim that his new focus was gaining back the WWE Universal Championship that he was forced to vacate after just 24 hours due to injury. When Miz suggested that current absentee champion Brock Lesnar would “break him in half”, Finn doubled down on his plan to take the title, saying that he had fought bigger men and prevailed throughout his entire career.
It was recently announced that Brock Lesnar would defend the WWE Universal Championship for the very first time this July, at the brand new, strangely named WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view in Dallas, TX.
