The Latest On Lana’s Smackdown Live Push
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Lana is supposed to be a heel on SmackDown Live but that it’s almost guaranteed she will be a babyface with the gimmick she’s using.
The Observer also noted that Lana is essentially working in the role that was slotted for Eva Marie. Eva is now focusing on her acting career and will not be returning to work for WWE.
Lana vs. Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s Championship will take place at the June 18th WWE Money In the Bank WWE Network special. Unless she wrestles on Smackdown next week the title shot at MITB will be Lana’s in-ring SmackDown TV debut.
Why Charlotte Missed June 3rd WWE Live Event
Charlotte Flair did not appear at the June 3rd WWE live event in Bridgeport, CT because she was in Vancouver, Canada filming a non-WWE movie. She did fly from Vancouver to Glens Falls, NY to work the WWE live event the next night.
It appears the movie she was filming is a two-hour holiday special related to the “Psych” TV show that used to air on USA. The movie has been previously announced to air in December of this year. Actors and former RAW guest stars James Roday and Dule Hill are also filming the movie as they are the stars of the show.
Based on a Twitter exchange it looks like actor Sam Huntington has also filmed for the movie. Roday and Flair both indicated on Twitter that they were still filming on Wednesday of this week.

The Miz & Ric Flair Attend NBA Finals
The Miz and Ric Flair were in attendance last night at the NBA Finals game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. They were there to help hype the Cleveland crowd and despite their presence the Cavs lost to the Warriors 118-113. The Golden State Warriors are now up 3-0 on the series.
