The Latest On John Cena’s Return To WWE TV, His Plans Beyond His Upcoming SD Live & RAW Appearances

John Cena will return to WWE television on the July 4th episode of SmackDown Live. WWE is currently teasing that Cena will return as a “free agent” that could move from Smackdown to RAW.

As noted earlier this week Cena was added to a RAW live event on Saturday, July 15th in Huntington, WV. Cena has also been added to the RAW live event the next night on Sunday, July 16th in Lexington, KY. It appears that Cena will be filling in for Roman Reigns at those shows against Bray Wyatt.

Since Cena was added to those shows it became rumored that he may be making the leap to RAW. At this time Cena is not scheduled for any RAW tapings through SummerSlam. That includes the post-SummerSlam episode of RAW.

Cena is scheduled for every Monday SmackDown house show, that he is available for, through SummerSlam as well as the post-SummerSlam SmackDown Live event in Albany, NY. That would mean Cena would not be available for RAW tapings unless for some reason they were in the same town as Smackdown Live.

Cena is also not currently scheduled for any other RAW events through SummerSlam other than the two listed above. He is scheduled to work all the SmackDown live events that he is available during that period.

On top of that Cena is also scheduled for every SmackDown Live TV taping through September with the exception of the August 8th episode.

It appears that while WWE is running with the storyline that John Cena is a free agent he is unlikely to make the leap to Monday Night RAW.
