Major Backstage Update on Kurt Angle’s WWE In-Ring Future

As noted, Kurt Angle made his big reveal on WWE Raw this past Monday night, which was that Jason Jordan is his long lost son. Following the announcement, Jordan is expected to be given a solid midcard push on Raw along with the continuation of the Kurt Angle story line.

With regards to Angle’s in-ring future, speculation on whether or not the Olympic gold medalist will return to the ring has been abound since Angle returned to WWE. That speculation continued when 2K Sports announced Angle as the special pre-order bonus character in the upcoming WWE 2K18 video game. With Seth Rollins having already been announced as the game’s cover star, there was talk that WWE might have been teasing a potential Kurt Angle vs Seth Rollins match at some point in the future.

However, according to The Dirty Sheets podcast, via SportsKeeda, which you can check out below, WWE has decided Kurt Angle will not wrestle anytime in the foreseeable future, and the company views him as an onscreen character and not an in-ring wrestler. There are currently no plans for Angle to return to the ring, and he hasn’t even taken the WWE physical which would be required for him to return to the ring.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
