Shane McMahon, the son of WWE Owner and Chairman Vince McMahon, made an emergency landing off of Long Island’s Gilgo Beach. This occurred Wednesday morning, according to NBCNewYork.com and confirmed by Suffolk County officials.

McMahon, who currently portrays the on-screen character of Smackdown Live Commissioner,  boarded the Robinson R44 for a family visit and the chopper departed from Manhattan’s West Side heliport. It flew over the south shore and had to make a controlled landing about a half-mile off shore. This took place around 10:25am, the pilot and federal officials said.

Mario Regtien, the pilot, stated that there was a strange noise coming from the chopper and he realized that he needed to make an emergency landing. It was said to be a soft landing and nobody was injured. McMahon was on the chopper, along with one other passenger.

“Mario was super calm, which made me super calm, and we landed perfectly,” McMahon said.
