Shinsuke Nakamura is headed to WWE Summerslam to face Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship after he defeated John Cena in the main event of Smackdown.
Nakamura overcame two Attitude Adjustments by Cena in the final moments of the match, including kicking out of a pin for the first one. Nakamura also countered a third by hitting a stiff looking inverted powerslam / throw before connecting with Kinshasa for the win.At the conclusion of the match, Cena raised Nakamura’s arm in a sign of respect as Jinder looked down at the ring from a skybox in the arena.
