On WWE bringing back Starrcade as a WWE Live event (house show) and not a WWE Network special/PPV event:

EB: That’s a little weird. I didn’t know that. I guess I didn’t read enough of “the news” and just saw the headline. That’s a little weird to me. I would think they would take better advantage of the opportunity. Whatever, maybe it’s a first step? Who knows? They may be testing the theory.

On the possibility Starrcade is being run to try and draw fans away from WrestleCade up the road:

EB: I am going to be appearing at WrestleCade this year. I will be at that show. It seems like a stretch to me that WWE would go to the extent of putting on an event like that for the sole purpose of hurting an independent promotion but WrestleCade is a pretty significant promotion. It’s a big event. So, I guess they could be? I don’t know. I’m not inside of WWE and I don’t know the mindset. If I had to bet I would bet that’s not really what motivated them to make this decision but I could be wrong.
