JK: I always thought that Sami was underrated. Obviously we know in-ring he is fantastic and he’s one of the most underutilized guys, I think, on the roster. Up until now being presented in the ring and doing what he can do. At the same time, I think he was very underrated on the microphone. As much as he’s such a babyface you can sense just by listening to him that he is embracing this heel persona. He’s gonna run with it. I think this is the shot in the arm that Sami Zayn needed. He needed something. It’s so much harder nowadays for, and I’ll use a wrestling term, a “white meat babyface” to get over. Which is basically what Sami was. With this new aggressive attitude I think the sky is the limit and he’ll get an opportunity to show the entire WWE audience what he is capable of.
On the rumors swirling that Neville has asked for his release from WWE:
JK: I can probably sense there is some truth to this rumor. For the last little while the 205 Live division, or whatever you want to call it, has been centered around Neville with the hopes of gaining some traction. Neville has been nothing short of spectacular in his role as the “King of The Cruiserweights.” That persona… he’s been great. He’s created that character and that has been very entertaining. By the same token, it hasn’t moved the needle. By bringing Enzo over, whether you like him or not, seems to have brought more eyes and attention to the cruiserweight division. Like it or not that’s just the reality of it.
