• The idea was first proposed internally in WWE last Thursday when it became apparent Roman Reigns would not be able to compete due to illness
• The addition of Kurt Angle to the WWE TLC main event is said to have been Vince McMahon’s idea
• Angle was apparently checked out by WWE doctors when he was originally brought back into the company and then had another physical done the Friday before WWE TLC in Pittsburgh to ensure he was medically fit to compete
• WWE’s announcement that Angle was joining the WWE TLC main event came just minutes after they were given the thumbs up that he was cleared to compete
• As of now Angle’s appearance was a one time attraction but, “the door is wide open to more going forward”
