WWE RAW Draws Highest Viewership Since October On 1/3/22

WWE RAW viewership enjoyed a notable increase on January 3.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that 1.716 million viewers watched the show, which was the first episode of 2022, on Monday night. This number is up from the 1.592 million viewers who tuned in last week. Monday’s viewership number is the program’s highest since the October 4, 2021 episode.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, RAW scored a 0.45 rating (592,000) viewers, which was the show’s highest figure since November 29.  For comparison, the December 27 episode drew a 0.42 demographic rating.

Monday’s episode came on the heels of WWE Day 1, where Brock Lesnar shockingly won the WWE Championship. He was advertised to appear on the show, which might explain the viewership increase. In the main event of the show on Monday, Bobby Lashley faced Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Big E for a chance to challenge Lesnar at WWE Royal Rumble.
