RUSH Confirms His AEW Deal Is On A Per-Date Basis, He’s Still In Negotiations

RUSH has arrived in AEW, and he says that Andrade El Idolo helped bring him on board.

“El Toro Blanco” debuted as Andrade’s new business associate at AEW Double or Nothing, but the former Ring of Honor World Champion hasn’t appeared live on AEW TV yet.

In an interview with Lucha Libre Online’s Michael Morales Torres, RUSH stated that the initial talks to bring him into the company were largely with Andrade; he noted that the latter wanted to somewhat recreate their previous stable, Los Ingobernables.

“The talks were mainly with Andrade,” said RUSH. “He already had a group, but he didn’t feel comfortable (with them). Until he sent me the invitation to be what we were before (Los Ingobernables), but now with an incredible experience we both have”.

As for his debut, “El Toro Blanco” made it clear that he was grateful to Tony Khan for giving him the opportunity, and his deal is still on a per-date basis, rather than a full-time contract.

“Grateful with Tony Khan for giving me the opportunity,” said RUSH. “We are still under talks and negotiations. For now, there are just dates (not a full time contract). I already did the first jump (step), which is being in the PPV, and not just a segment, but they gave it the value that both Rush and Andrade have. They left that promo for the end. Nobody expected it, not even my own family”.

Thanks to Michael Morales for sharing the quotes in this article.
